India Haus: reopened in August

Wow! I didn't know that the "Spades" was closed since last year and the bar now is called "Quetsche"... However the coordinates for the meeting did not change! Sorry for those who tried to find us in vain. I've been waiting outside for approximately half an hour, and instead of meeting the core group I encountered two ladies from the "International Choir". We spent a wonderful ladies' night - by speaking German. ;-)

For Saturday, 1st October 2011, at 8.00 p.m. I booked a table for the esteemed members of the English Speaking Club at the Indian Restaurant which has reopened in August. The owner had a lively interest in our community and granted me kindly the usage of the nice photos. I assume that we'll soon have a new member. *chuckle*

A different kind of Cocktail bar: Spades

Hi everbody,

Our singing with the international choir yesterday was a marvellous experience. Besides this, we were lucky with the weather. It was fun to learn songs in Ukrainian, Spanish, Turkish and Russian! We were really impressed by the incredible hospitality and I am considering to participate more frequently.

But singing is not everyone's cup of tea. That's why we will get together next Friday, on 23rd September 2011, 8.00 p.m. at another kind of cocktail bar to sit and talk as usual:

International Singing and going on a walkabout at the flea market

Hello Dear Friends,

What a night! I've never been in such a grungy club like that before... *giggle* Nonetheless a few members decided to stay. That’s why two of us went to another place to sample the pleasures of dancing by a more enjoyable music. My feet are still aching. :-)

By the way – we could welcome a new member and because we are such a little multicultural group, I recommend to attend the International singing: People of different nationalities teach each other their songs. Do you also like to introduce a song in your mother tongue? Maybe we will sound like these people at least? (I'm very curious about it!)

When? Sunday, 18th September, at 11.00 a.m. – 13.00 p.m.
Where? - Hospitalstr., KAZ-Spiegelsaal - Free entry, no registration, just drop by!

Afterwards we can stroll around the flea market at the KAZ-market-place: (open from 7.00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m.), and in between we could have a snack the “ZAK” if you like.

Feel free to bring along your friends or colleagues, and also nice weather with you.
Although the weatherman predicted rain on Sunday there is a German saying: "There's no bad weather at all, but inappropriate clothing". ;-)

Let's talk body-language!

Hello everybody,

First of all: I created this brand-new blog for administrative reasons in mutual agreement with Humphrey.

We had incredibly fun by playing pool last time! It was a pleasure to see the groups playing:
Germany-Israel against Russia-Turkey and also Germany against the Middle East.

For this week - Friday, 09.09.2011, about 10.00 p.m. we decided to go dancing.
We will meet at Göttingen's oldest club called:
